Step by step you walk into the fascination of hand embroidery. Each module of the Master Needle Worker distance learning seminar has 6 lessons and leads from the simple, pre-defined motif to your own design on a perfectly mastered artisan basis. The seminar is crowned by a final project on a given topic. Fascination of the techniques, materials and colors with which you make your work of needle and thread as colorful and vivid as a painter with a brush.
In addition to the techniques, we will also explain something about the theory, eg how the choice of embroidery material affects the work, which needle is used for which material, which tools are also useful in hand embroidery and how you can best set up your workplace ,
The seminar is suitable for: beginners, returnees, sunday stitchers, stitch manicas and all those who can not keep their hands off the needle and thread and enjoy it every day. So forAnyone who likes to work with needle and thread, who is fascinated by the whole range of hand embroidery as much as we are and who are or want to become part of the big world wide family of happy stitchers. You do not need more prerequisites.
Use it to create practice pieces, as a preparation for developing your own courses, to create a sample book, as preparation for study or the practical part of the journeyman's examination for the examination as a Designing Crafts WoMan/subject embroidery or just have fun!
With questions you get support by email. Under the heading certificates you will find the conditions for obtaining a confirmation of participation, an assessment and a certificate.
Module I - Basics
We start with 5 different stitches or sub-techniques per lesson. This forms the entry into the world of the art of hand embroidery. We work in all 6 lessons with the same theme, which is always adapted to the technique. It is a traditional motif from past times of embroidery. This makes it easier to break away from the somehow innate conviction that you have to implement each template very realistically.
Module II - Advanced
We proceed with more stitches, more techniques and the first combinations and variations. For a first small design, we provide you with 3 templates to choose from in each lesson. The planning for the execution is created by you under consideration of certain specifications and then of course also stitched ...
Module III - Expert
Now it is almost done! In the last module you will get to know even more stitches and other techniques. Much is combined, it is experimented and modern variations are applied. The result is 6 somewhat unconventional samplers in the form of our popular shell flower.
For the final project, we will give you a topic from which you can create any project under certain conditions.
